Did you know that its possible to be paying fall price for driving lessons and the Instructor could still be a trainee. There is simply no way to tell how good he/she is yet as they have not taken and passed the required tests. In fact they are very much using YOU as there training aide.

So how do you tell if your Driving Instructor is fully qualified or not?

Simple

If you are paying for driving tuition your instructor MUST have this badge displayed in the front Windscreen of the tuition vehicle


If this licence is not on display you should not be paying for your tuition, and will have to question if he/she is a legal Driving Instructor.

If your instructor is just training they must display this badge


Check before taking lessons that you are getting a fully qualified Instructor. Trainee instructors are learning just like you, so it's doubtful they will be able to offer the quality and knowledge of an experienced fully qualified Instructor.

Watch out for BSM and RED driving schools that both carry a high number of Trainee instructors
